It's A Date!

We have confirmed our flight to Ethiopia on Saturday, March 8th! I am such a mixture of excited, overwhelmed, expectant, nervous, and a whole bunch of other adjectives! It's becoming more and more real.

Any advice or tips you might want to give me, especially you who have traveled to Africa before, or Ethiopia. I would so appreciate it. Such as, what I simply must bring, etc. We are starting to plan, of which I am not very good, but my hubby is, so he is helping with that part!

I am feeling more anxious about not having my boys with me, but I trust in my God who will give my family strength and power to take wonderful care of them while we are away. Please keep us in prayers. I promise I will have pictures soon, but we just don't want to post them because of governmental issues in the past.

She is beautiful, though, trust me! Then again, aren't all children? A resounding, "Yes!"

So excited for you... praise the LORD, praise the LORD, praise the LORD.
I cannot express my joy for you enough!

I will continue to pray, pray, pray. It is sooooo hard to be away from kiddos at home, but your trip will go by so quickly!

Take lots of snacks and bring a blanket for that sweetheart of yours for layovers... we didn't bring one but wished we had. Our boys fell asleep on the airport floors.

Also, we LOVE our Ergo. We use it for all three youngers and even Scott likes it.

Oh, don't forget a camera charger that works in Ethiopia... we forgot ours and were so bummed.

I'll think of more later!

Love ya,
Katy

I didn't realize you were adopting from Ethiopia now. So sorry that I missed that along the way. I would love to talk with you once life has settled down for you. I think that may be where the Lord is leading us for our next adoption. I can't wait to hear about your experience and your trip and to see pictures.

I completely agree with Katy, the ergo is priceless. I still carry Levi in it and he's 2 1/2.

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
