Evening Exaltation

Tonight I am so sleepy that my eyelids are like tiny slits looking at this white computer screen, yet I feel compelled to blog a little line or two just to say how wonderful and good my God truly is to His children. He is the Faithful and True. His love and mercy know no bounds, and He is from everlasting to everlasting. I must exalt His name at all times, and His praise must be on my lips. No matter how I may at times stumble in the flesh while walking with the Lord, I will never cease to praise Him for His mighty power and the blood He shed for all mankind.

In His presence is fullness of joy, and I am becoming more and more thankful of His precious presence in my life. In fact, I am coming to a place in my walk with Him that His presence is more important than any other thing. Spending time in prayer and meditation in His Word is THE most important part of my day, the most crucial, the most critical. Oh, don't let me miss this precious time. Don't let me slumber away in vain. Crucify this body of flesh that my spirit man may rise up! I desire to become so dependent and desperate on my God that nothing else can happen until I hear His precious voice and His direction for my day.

Lest the very rocks cry out in my place, I will praise Him continually. In the valley of the shadow of death, I will magnify and honor Him. High upon the heights of victory, I will praise and make my boast in Him. For He alone is the Worthy Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He alone is the Rock and the Refuge we run to. In Him, all things hold together, including our very breath. Magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt His name together. Sleep in peace, my soul, in the restful arms of Jesus Christ. Amen.

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
