Critters in the Dark

Just wanted to take a little break from the posts on my journey to freedom from anger and divulge in a little humor for you!

A couple of nights ago, after everyone was in bed, I walked out onto my back deck and was planning on sitting out under the stars and praying. It was around midnight, and I must say that being the night owl that I am, I find this a very relaxing time. Anyway, as I was walking out, I thought, "I will just go and sit on the swing." As I approached the swing, I saw a shape perched behind the swing on the deck rail. I froze in my tracks! Well, I figured it might just be a cat, but I still didn't want to stay out there with it, so I came back in.

I turned the light on the deck, and low and behold, we were being visited by a friendly little critter! I said, "Nami, wake up and see the 'possum!" Needless to say, the opossum provided 30 minutes of free entertainment for us in the middle of the night! The boys were so disappointed they didn't get to see him, but Nami, the brave warrior that he is, got very close (in his undies I might add!) and snapped these pictures.

She (or he) was a friendly little critter, not even moving as Nami got up close. I think she was "playin possum" as we here in the South would say!!

EEWWWW! Uck, these guys creep me out. Leave it to Nami to get a picture. Is there an animal that he doesn't get a snapshot of! Remember the chipmunk in Glacier Mountain, HAHA!Love you - Amy

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
