Well, friends, I am getting ready to go...with God. A wonderful friend of mine today hugged me and whispered, "Go with God." This comforted my spirit so much when she said those words. It was such a profound reminder to me of Who is always with me. Even though my loving husband will be there, and we will be experiencing this together, I know that I could not go without my Lord Jesus, without His promise that He will never leave me or forsake me.
Have you made His promise your very own? I pray that you have. The present world in which we live has nothing to offer us in the way of fulfillment, apart from knowing God. In fact, we are to pray for God's kingdom to come and God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This world is not our home. We are pilgims, strangers, peculiar people.
Tonight, I was remembering the goodness and the kindness and the mercy of God the Father. He has been so faithful and wonderful to me. I will never be able to thank Him and praise Him enough for what He means to me. Yet, I will have a chance, since we will be worshipping and loving our God for eternity in His presence face to face. I long for the day of His return. Do you?
Truly, life is a vapor, and the only things that will last are what we have done for Him and in His Name. The only things we will have is what we lay at Jesus' feet. What will we lay there? Will we lay our beautiful home, our luxury car, our bank account with lots of savings for a rainy day, our 401K, our retirement condo in Florida, our attendance record at church, our beautiful body, our perfect health, the awards and achievements of our career? Will these things impress our Creator?
I believe our Lord looks at the heart of man and sees His motives and intentions. I believe He sees the love we have for Him and for our brothers and sisters, and even for our enemies. Our Father sees the heart that longs to know HIM more, not to merely know more ABOUT Him. Did you know there is a difference? He sees and responds to a heart like David's, that seeks Him, that worships Him for WHO he is, rather than for WHAT He does.
Our lives belong to Him. He must increase, and we must decrease. Our will isn't important, it is His will that matters. May we live with an eternal perspective in mind. Don't reject Him, my friend. He is your only Hope. And, He is so so much more than we could ever hope for or long for or deserve! Hallelujah! I must go! I must go with God!
Blessings to you all. I hope to post tomorrow night, but if not, I will try to post there. I love you all.

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.

Oh that is so awesome. Yes, definitely go with God. I have just been praying for you all off and on for the past few days in anticipation of your travel to get to put your arms around your daughter. Oh. My. Word. I just can't imagine the joy.
I pray safe traveling mercies for you, a happy fun time for the boys while you all are away, and for a wonderful blessed time of tenderly getting to know her.
I admire what you all are doing so much and can't wait to hear all about it!
