New Door In Adoption Journey

Just wanted to share with you all a little update on our adoption journey. As many of you know, Nami and I have been in the process of adoption now for several months. Our documents have been submitted to AOH in Liberia, Africa, and we had been awaiting a referral, until just within the last couple of weeks. We have recently felt a leading in a different direction by a strange turn of events.

To make a long story much shorter, we are now pursuing adopting an infant girl from Ethiopia, Africa. Due to the fact that we had not yet received a referral and that the country of Liberia is currently experiencing some difficulties with new policies within the U.S. Embassy, a door of opportunity has been opened to us in Ethiopia. We are very excited by these turn of events, as the process is apparently much shorter to adopt. In fact, the wait is almost unheard of in international adoptions, approximately 4 months total.

We are currently working on re-gathering all of our appropriate documents and sending them into the new agency, who only handles Ethiopian adoptions. Our application has already been received, our homestudy is being revised to reflect an Ethiopian adoption, and we are gathering the last little bit for our dossier in order to send in.

Please lift us up in prayer through this journey. We are also welcoming any financial assistance in order to help us with traveling expenses to Africa, etc. Once we actually have our referral for an infant, I will most assuredly post the news, and if you would like to send us an offering, we will send you our address.

I pray this short video and song touches your heart as I has mine...

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
