Last weekend, our family took a day trip to Nashville to the Farmer's Market, and we happened upon a living history exhibition on the grounds of the bicentennial park. It was totally fun, as Abraham got to meet Abraham...Lincoln that is! We also saw old Andrew Jackson give a stirring speech as well. The boys had a great time seeing all the weaponry from the Civil War, WWI and WWII. It was too funny when after giving his short speech on the weapons of WWI, the soldier/actor asked if there were any questions, and Micah raised his hand and shyly asked, "Can I have one?" Needless to say, the answer was met by many laughs, as all the weapons were genuine! Poor Micah! Just a gun lover at heart!
I was also inwardly hysterical when one of the history buffs was attempting to tell Nami all about the history of Civil War artillery. (This guy was an expert!) Nami was really doing his best to put on his best face of keen interest, even with the "hmmm's" and the "uh huh's" to go along with it! I'm so proud.

Shopping at the Farmer's Market is always a treat as well. Seeing all the fresh fruits and veggies, locally grown and the sights and smells are very appealing. Overall, we had a wonderful day together, and I was so thankful to the Lord.
