Thanksgiving 08 Snapshots

For the Thanksgiving holiday, we went for a visit to my parents' house and had a delicious dinner together. It began with Abraham reading Psalm 100 to us, then each of us went around the room and stated what we were thankful for.

Micah and Abraham then proceeded to each say a prayer for us. Lastly, we joined around the piano while we sang "We Gather Together" as my mother played. Then came dinner time! It was a very special time, even though we missed my sister, my brother-in-law, and their children so much. We love you guys and were thinking of you!

Here are some pictures to capture the moments in our special Thanksgiving Day 08!

On our way back to Hoptown, we sidestepped through Big Sandy and visited McCrae's Chapel cemetary where people on my mother's side of the family are buried, including my grandmother who we lovingly called "MamaMac." It was a beautiful day and a precious moment to share with Micah about his heritage and his family tree.

Tune in tomorrow for a coming story about fish fries and hushpuppies and leaving a legacy...

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
