My Gratitude

Above all else, far surpassing
Any earthly treasure or gain;
I'm thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ,
His most beautiful, wonderful Name.

I thank Him for being who He is,
I love Him with all my heart;
This earth can diminish and pass away,
But His Word shall not depart.

This thankfulness I feel inside,
Is beyond all human expression;
So great a salvation I have received,
The richest and most prized possession.

I am thankful for His faithfulness,
To an unfaithful and selfish girl;
I shed my tears upon his feet,
At His great love for this sin-stained world.

I revel in His loving kindness,
His beauty, wisdom, and might;
I am humbled by such dumb-founding grace,
That rescued me in the darkest night.

I will never be able to thank Him enough,
Until I see His shining face;
My gratitude to you, My Messiah and King,
Time shall never, ever erase.
