All In A Day

It started out as a "once-upon-a-time" kind of day.

Micah and I went on a field trip to Lacy's Apple Orchard with his preschool class. The sun was shining, we spent one-one-one time together. It was a wonderful experience for us. And I've got proof!

Yet, the fairy tale ended a bit, shall we say, abruptly...

Now, you may be wondering why you are seeing a picture of someone's gnarly foot. Well, that's MY gnarly foot with a big, fat, BROKEN TOE on it!!!! Yes, my friends, I, the brilliant gal that I am, dropped a 45 pound weight on my toe later that afternoon in the gym. A smooth move for me being 3 weeks away from my first half-marathon, wouldn't you say? Can I scream now?

I'm a bit down about that, not too mention the pain and nuisance of being incapacitated at the moment. But, alas, all is not lost. I know that my God, blessed be His name, is sovereign in all circumstances over my life, and I trust in Him to work even this out for my good. Isn't that what our precious Word promises? And I choose to believe it!

Last night, Nami said, "Why are you taking pictures of your toe?" He was looking at me like I was bonkers, which is not all that unusual to me. I replied, "I need some sympathy, okay?" So, uh hum, please, I am waiting...

oh, ouch. So sorry to hear about your toe. Does this mean you will not run the half marathon? (I don't remember how far away the date is.) I was a little amused at the title "Shadowfeet" on your media player. It's a lovely song, and I bet you could have used some shadow feet about the time that weight came down! Hope you're all healed up soon. love to you all...

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
