As many of you know, Nami and I desire to adopt a little girl from Liberia, Africa. We are currently waiting to hear from the orphanage/adoption agency Acres of Hope in order to be accepted and given a referral for a child. We decided we would like to sell this beautiful Persian rug which my husband purchased in Iran last year in order to help us raise more money for our adoption. It is an exquisite, handmade rug that contains 30% silk and which took approximately 3 years to make. I have thoroughly enjoyed it being in my home.
This rug has been in our living room for a little time, but is like new and would make a beautiful wall hanging as well. (Tabs are sewn in the back for hanging.) The size is 80 X 60. Again, it is an authentic Persian/Iranian rug handmade in Iran and purchased there by my husband and his mother. We would like to sell this rug for $2,900.00. Purchasing this rug in the U.S., you would pay at least $6,000.00.

So, if you are interested, or you know anyone who is a rug collector and would enjoy having this rug in their home, please pass along this information and blog to them. We would so appreciate it. We are calling this rug our "Rug of Hope" after the orphanage Acres of Hope where we hope to adopt our little girl.
Feel free to email me at naminahid@aol.com for further information.
