Take a moment to watch this awesome testimony of how God healed this woman of cancer through the Daniel Fast. (turn off my playlist player to listen).

Dear Tina,

What a blessing and inspiration your blog is! I'm so thankful that Di gave me the link...I would like to write, but some of the things I have to say are rather personal. D.J. and I did the Daniel fast back in May and we were successful, however we just began another fast, with our church, and we only lasted three days. D.J. was sick, and hardly able to complete his work day, and my daughter felt faint and weak for most of her school day and had difficulty concentrating. The little ones and I were fine, but financially I can't afford to prepare two sets of meals, so we came to a compromise. We tailored the plan to include lean white meats and eggs, along with milk and and whole grains such as wheat bread and non-sugar cereal and everyone is o.k. with that. We're still eating mostly vegetables and fruit, and driking water, but our focus is more of a lifestyle change, than just a three week fast and then returning to our "wicked ways". I've told the children that I believe that God wants us to be healthy and that in order for us to be able to do what He has called us to do, we need to make these changes in our life. As I read Daniel, even though he set apart ten days and then he was approved by the king, this was something that he lived daily even after the ten days. I have trouble thinking that we can all go through three weeks of fasting and then return to our pizzas and hamburgers. Anyway, say a prayer for God's direction~I want to obey what God would have for our family to do and not be weighted down by a legalistic way of looking at things, however I don't want to "miss God" if he has called us to a more strict form of obedience. Love to you and your family!

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
