I want to waste my life
Pursuing my Savior and King.
What the world calls a waste,
I want to embrace
More than any thing.
I want to waste my time
With the ones rejected and broken;
Binding their hearts
In the inmost parts
With deep love and joy unspoken.
I want to waste my days
Basking in His glorious presence;
Listening to His voice
Being still without the noise
Communing in the realm of the heavens.
I want to waste myself
Being poured out for His glory;
Bringing Him delight
Always pleasing in His sight
May this be my song and my story.
Wonderful waste!
What unspeakable taste
Of life and love and truth.

It doesn't take monumental feats to make the world a better place. It can be as simple as letting someone go ahead of you in a grocery line.
